Terms of service

Effective date: 3 October 2026

These terms govern your use of Jack at jackforwork.com and the Jack apps and services. By creating an account or using Jack, you agree to them.

Who we are

Jack is provided by Barreto Tech (Org.nr 936 035 019), a company registered in Norway. Contact us at [email protected].

Your account

You sign in with a GitHub, Google or Microsoft account. You must be able to form a binding contract where you live and, if you use Jack for an organisation, you confirm you may bind it. Keep your sign-in secure; you are responsible for what happens under your account.

Plans

Jack has a Free plan and the paid plans Pro and Team. Enterprise is agreed separately. The features of each plan and the price are shown before you buy, and tax is added at checkout. We may change a plan or its price; a change to a price you already pay applies from your next billing period and we tell you in advance.

The Pro trial

Pro starts with a free trial for the trial period shown at checkout. You enter a payment card to start it. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription becomes a paid Pro subscription and the card is charged the price shown when you started. You can cancel at any time during the trial at no cost.

Payment and cancellation

Payments are handled by Stripe through Stripe Managed Payments, in which Stripe is the merchant of record: it sells the subscription to you, charges your card, collects the applicable taxes and issues the invoice. Stripe's terms apply to the payment. The charge appears on your card statement as "Sold through Link" or starting with LINK.COM*.

You manage your subscription, payment method and invoices, and cancel, in the Stripe Customer Portal, linked from your account. A cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period you have paid for, and you keep the plan until then. We do not refund periods already started, except where the law gives you a right to a refund. If you are a consumer in the EEA, your statutory rights are not affected by these terms.

What you may do

Use Jack lawfully and in line with these terms. Do not use it to harm others, to break the law or the terms of the AI services and tools you connect to it, to attack or overload our services, to probe them for weaknesses without our permission, or to resell access to them.

Your work and your AI teammates

You keep all rights to your projects, files, instructions and the results. You give us only the right to process them to run Jack for you. Jack lets AI teammates act on your behalf with the AI services and tools you connect. You decide what they can do and what you approve; you are responsible for that, for checking their results and for having the right to use the material you give them. Those AI services and tools have their own terms and prices, which are separate from these.

Privacy

How we handle personal data is described in the privacy policy, including how to have your data deleted.

Availability and changes

We work to keep Jack available and secure, but we do not promise that it will always run without interruption or error. We may change the service. If we end a paid feature you are paying for, we refund the unused part of the period.

Ending your use

You can stop using Jack and ask us to delete your data at any time. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, and we tell you why where we can.

Liability

Jack is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, Barreto Tech is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profit or lost data, or for what AI services and tools you connect do, and its total liability to you for a claim is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for intent or gross negligence, or your rights as a consumer.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We update the date above and, for a material change, tell you by email or in the app before it applies. If you do not accept it, you can cancel before it takes effect.

Governing law

Norwegian law governs these terms. Disputes go to the Norwegian courts, without limiting any mandatory right you have to bring a claim where you live.
